"The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect
if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good,
nothing but blind, pitiless indifference."

-Richard Dawkins

Comments:
Hmmmm. Last time I checked, humans were part of the universe we observe. And humans certainly have designs, purposes, good, evil, and plenty of compassion to offset the alleged lack of pity in the rest of the universe. Even if other aspects of the universe lack these qualities, being human it is the human realm which does indeed contain these things which concerns me most. So Dr. Dawkins seems to be overstretching himself and overlooking some important data. It's a matter of perspective I guess, though how anyone could imagine that "the universe minus humans" actually equals "the universe" is a bit of logic that doesn't add up in my calculations.
